Meet The Quack Squad

Wine lovers can thank The Quack Squad for their next glass of delicious vino. The squad, which has over 1,000 working ducks in its ranks, helps to naturally control pests at the Vergenoegd South African Winery. As the ducks waddle through the grapevines, they eat snails and other bothersome bugs which allows the winery owners to avoid using pesticides on their crops. The group can handle up to 50 square meters per day (about two square miles)!

Watch the video to see just how their owner, Denzel, literally keeps all his ducks in a row, and keep an eye out for the duck with “a pom pom on top of his head,” which earned him the name Elvis.
